Welcome on this page! The Tuscany Working Hostel is the 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐥 in 𝐈𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐲 that offers two different kind of holiday:
– 𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘
– 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐘
The first sounds familiar, but what about the second?
Let me start from the beginnig, I’m 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨, nice to meet you!
I am 𝟐𝟓𝐲𝐨, italian, former student of law and 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐚 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 ♥️. On 2016 I 𝐥𝐞𝐟𝐭 𝐦𝐲 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞, 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐦𝐚, my studies, my girlfriend and my family because that road was leading me to a scary empty anything. The kind of anything that couldn’t fed my spirit with “things”, beautiful and new. I just owed some money for: a 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐭, a 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐚 and about 2 weeks of 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. I was landed in Melbourne the 18 Dec 2016.
I didn’t speak english. I didn’t know anything about Australia and its culture. The cheapest place to stay was a 𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐥, but I quickly ran out of money and I cried most of the nights, the first week.
Where to sleep tomorrow?
What to eat?
Who can help me?
The only two words in my head were: 𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐃 𝐅𝐀𝐒𝐓! The staff of the hostel was friendly and suggested me to move into the countryside and look for a Working Hostel. With the few money I had, I caught a night bus to Adelaide and follow the suggestion of the only person helped me.
⚡️IT WAS 𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐙𝐈𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆.
Yes, both amazing and astonishing.
And so, the 𝐓𝐮𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐥?
It’s the place I created for all the 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬 like me. At the end of 2017 I went back home, left all the new families I had in Australia and decided to build a new 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞 in 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐦𝐚, 𝐓𝐮𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐲. A working hostel that allows the 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫, help them to find a job, 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 everyone with the 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞.
Don’t know italian?
Don’t worry. You remember the “we” I was talking about in the title and the 𝐠𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐈 𝐥𝐞𝐟𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐲? You can meet 𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐚 on the IG stories and she can help you to start learning 😉
Don’t know where to start to find a 𝐣𝐨𝐛?
